Anycubic Photon Mono 2 is an entry-level resin printer popular for its powerful features and user-friendly design. For users who are new to resin 3D printing, replacing the LCD screen can be a challenge. Maintaining the screen, and replacing it when it reaches the end of its useful life, is a very important skill, and is vital to ensure that your prints are always of high quality. In this tutorial, we'll dive into why you're concerned about the Mono 2's LCD screen, when you need to replace it, and we'll provide a step-by-step tutorial to guide you through the process.
Importance of LCD Screen
Anycubic Photon Mono 2 is often chosen as an entry-level printer. It has a print size of 165x89x143 mm (HWD) and features a 6.6-inch monochrome LCD screen with a resolution of 4096x2560. Enhanced LightTurbo Matrix, which ensures a stable and uniform parallel light source, excels in minimizing layer lines, and users can get 3D prints with smoother surfaces. When using resin printers, there is a risk of the screen being contaminated by leaking resin or scratched by tools, which will impair the normal use of the LCD screen. Anycubic Photon Mono 2 is equipped with a large anti-scratch screen protector with a light transmittance of up to 95%, which is designed to fully protect the LCD screen while ensuring printing accuracy.
The LCD screen is responsible for projecting UV light that cures the resin during the printing process. After prolonged use, the high intensity of light can cause the LCD screen to deteriorate. Scratches or other forms of damage may affect your screen's performance and print quality. With resin printers, regular inspection and maintenance of the LCD screen is a critical step. Replacing the LCD screen in a timely manner can solve problems such as inconsistent curing, reduced print quality, and loss of model detail, ensuring the best performance of the printer.
