We owe you an honest update.

The response to Kobra S1 Max and Kobra X has been stronger than we anticipated. We recognize that for many early customers, the experience has not matched expectations. Shipping timelines slipped, fulfillment orders caused confusion, and support response times were not where they should have been. We take responsibility for that, and we're sorry for the frustration it's caused.

 

Why were shipments delayed?

Demand significantly exceeded our initial production planning. Combined with a production pause during the Chinese New Year period, our output timeline shifted across the board.

 

For Kobra S1 Max specifically, during pre-shipment QC, we identified cosmetic inconsistencies in a portion of units. They didn't affect performance or safety, but they weren't up to our standard. We chose to hold shipments, resolve the issue, and add an additional inspection step along with a firmware update before units go out. This added time, but it was a necessary decision.

 

For Kobra X, the variation in shipping orders was driven by two factors. The Kobra X Combo set includes ACE 2 Pro, which experienced a production delay in January. As a result, some standalone Kobra X units shipped earlier than previously placed Combo orders. Regional logistics timelines also vary, with US warehouse fulfillment moving faster than EU and UK sea freight. This created differences in delivery timing across regions.

What we're doing differently going forward

We're extending live chat support hours to cover more of the day for key regions, going into effect in the second half of this year. Our Help Center's order tracking tool is already live if you haven't used it. It pulls real-time status without relying on email notifications, which we know don't always get through.

 

On the production and logistics side, we're reviewing our regional fulfillment approach for future launches to avoid the kind of regional timing gaps that caused confusion this time.

 

You placed your order before the reviews were out, and you've waited the longest. We're committed to getting every remaining order out, and to communicating more openly with consistent updates going forward.
